Goofy characters
What can I say? I like making funny little guys. One of my favorite things to do is not only draw characters, but I like to animate them, too. Putting expressions and personalities into my designs is so rewarding, and if I can get a laugh out of it, I've achieved my goal.

A lil' 3d Modeling
I'm definitely no professional when it comes to 3D modeling, but I dabbled in it a tiny bit during school. My goal for this was to model my ideal bedroom scene which was a cozy bed pushed up to a rainy window with some good books, a cup of coffee, and warm string lights.
For my process, I started with a basic sketch, Then I brought that into Maya and started mocking up the basic shapes of all the objects. The next step was to smooth out all the edges with lots of added polygons. Once I added in the ambient occlusion, it was time to create the UV maps and add textures. After that, I added basic lighting and then brought it into Photoshop to do the finishing touches.
A logo in motion
Ok technically, this is super work-related, but it didn't really fit anywhere else on the site, so it gets to sit on the fun page.
I worked with Big Sky Montana to create an animated logo for their new ski lift. This was my first time animating a logo for a client, and it was also my first time dealing this heavily with special effects. I had to teach myself how to make a few plugins work for me when it came to some of the ice and water effects, but the mountain was made in Illustrator, and the snow effects are simple particles.
Creepy Logos
My friends started a true crime podcast on Spotify during the pandemic, and they asked me to make a logo for them. Of course, I was thrilled to do so! Just two girls yapping into the void over cups of coffee, telling spooky stories, spilling all the tea.
Once the show started to get popular, I had a bunch of other podcasts and content creators commissioning me for more logos. it was so fun, but this one is definitely my favorite.

People Watching
During school, I liked to sit in the cafeteria and sketch people that were passing by. I know these aren't the prettiest, but they all took me like a minute or less to draw, This exercise really opened my eyes to how much beauty lies in noticing how different people's body types are, how they carry themselves when they walk, and how they convey their emotions through their body language. Each of these people had their own story to tell, and I'm glad I could jot down a little snapshot of it.

Boba Phone Icons
One day, I got tired of how boring my phone looked, so I decided to draw new icons for my apps. My dog, Boba, is my muse, so I incorporated him into all the designs. HEre's a few of my favorites.

Sketchy Business
Here's a little peak into my thought process when I'm designing characters. These first two were from when I was trying to draw myself for a short film and was figuring out the right style. The next few were from a random prompt challenge where I was mashing up two words to make a fun new character.
AFTER HOURS
Ahh, I see you've made it to the for fun page. Welcome in!
This stuff isn't really job-related, but I'm still really proud of it, and I want to share it with you.

Honorable Mentions
These guys don't really have a home on this website, but I love them and thought I'd still share them with you. I've dabbled in traditional ink on paper, oil painting, acrylic painting, digital painting, and just about every other medium you can think of. No matter the art form, you can count on me to keep it cute and creepy.
